It is impossible to capture in a few sentences the value of John Frame's contributions to the church. His life's work represents a combination of Christian piety, intellectual creativity, and biblical fidelity that is increasingly rare in our day. Everything Dr. Frame writes is worth reading and reflecting upon, even when (perhaps especially when) one ends up disagreeing with him. As some essays in this volume illustrate, he is not afraid to engage with controversies when the need arises, but the fuller picture given by this collection of writings is that of a joyfully devoted servant of Jesus who strives to exemplify his own distinctive definition of theology: the application of God's word to every area of our lives.
