Bernadette Engstrom, born with innate skills to protect nature and promote spirit, finds herself thrown into a quagmire of problems. In response, Bernadette attempts to control her fiery temper while she and her cohort animal friends chart a unique course of action.

During her employment with a manufacturing company, Bernadette accidentally discovers secrets and consequently, they attempt to squash the life out of her. Unfortunately, she doesn't understand how the secrets fit together in a meaningful way. Complicating matters, Bernadette agonizes over a confounding sense of self-doubt, instilled by a mother who hates her for being a girl.

When she becomes the focus of an EPA enforcement case with excessive surveillance, Bernadette's mental fortitude and principled actions are stretched to the breaking point. But Bernadette does have secrets, including a sexy husband not known to her family or coworkers.

Bernadette's ability to do battle in innovative ways brings comic relief to those rooting for her. But those threatening her life become increasingly volatile as she thwarts their actions.
