Our Christian Hope

David S. Dockery

With the dawning of a new millennium many are probing ancient prophecies for light on world events. David Dockery commendably focuses on inspired Scripture as Southern Baptists ask what doctrines legitimately offer Christian hope. --Carl F. H. Henry, author of God, Revelation, and Authority In an age of failed utopias and false messiahs on every hand, believers need more than ever before to be reminded of the great promise of Christ's return in glory. David Dockery does a superb job of focusing on the main event at the conclusion of world history, the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. This study helps us avoid idle speculation by lifting our hearts to our risen and returning savior. --Timothy George, Dean and Professor of Divinity, Beeson Divinity School The excellences of Our Christian Hope are many. David Dockery has given enough content to deal with pressing contemporary questions which people ask about the end times. . . . Christians should read and study this book thoroughly. --Thomas D. Lea, former Dean, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary David Dockery has demonstrated once again that he is one of evangelicalism's gifted theologians. He has articulated the doctrine of eschatology with clarity and conviction. This book is simply an outstanding study of a critical doctrine. --Thom S. Rainer, President and CEO of LifeWay Christian Resources
