Harold Jessurun began his career at the early age of eight. While living on the Island of Guam, he took a few samples of his gag cartoons to the only newspaper on the Island and they agreed to publish one a week. Topics included things of interest on the Island including politics. Since then, Harold has had two illustrations published in Time Magazine. He had a very popular comic strip titled "Pero Pa' Lante" which ran in spanish in newspapers in Puerto Rico and in California. After the newspaper closed, Harold published a book compiling three years of the strip. In 1985 he participated in the project "Comic Relief - Drawings from the Cartoonists Thanksgiving Day Hunger Project". And had his strip published in their book and in Time Magazine as well. He's also an Emmy Award winning writer for a local TV comedy sitcom. Besides all that, he also writes his current strip, "Pepito", which runs in a local newspaper in Puerto Rico. He's currently an award-winning Copywriter for a multinational Advertising agency and resides in Puerto Rico with his wife and two daughters.
