Bruce Taylor, Professor Emeritus University of Wisconsin Eau Claire is a former poet laureate of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and curator of Local Lit for Volume One. He is author of three previous full length collections of poetry, including The Longest You Lived Anywhere: New & Selected Poems (2013) and In Other Words (2014). His poetry has appeared in places such as Able Muse, The American Journal of Poetry, The Chicago Review, Cortland Review, The Formalist, Light, The Nation, The New York Quarterly, The Northwest Review, Poetry, Rattle and on The Writer's Almanac. He has won awards and fellowships from the Wisconsin Arts Board, Fulbright-Hayes, the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Council of Wisconsin Writers, the Bush Artist Foundation and the Excellence In Scholarship award from UWEC.
