Purpose By Design: Purpose is Connected to My Fulfillment
This book is about the obstacles I endured while I was growing up and how God is intentional about every detail. Although I may not have seen what I went through was for my own good because it hurts so bad. Romans 8:28 All things work together for good to those who love the Lord and who are called by his name. I can definitely see myself resonate with Jesus, who knew no sin and he became sin for me for the whole world. Romans 5:8 But God showed his love in that while we were still sinners. Christ died for us. The same is true when Jesus says if you want to be my disciples, you must carry your cross and follow me. I was born and raised in Haiti by my mother and my 2 other siblings. My father wasn't really too involved in my life, I barely get to see him as a little girl. I do have memories of him coming to see my brother and I. He would let us sit on his lap while he tells us stories about his military career in Haiti. I remembered him showing us his weapons with safety on of course. He tells us some story about the Haitian Revolution, a decade of warfare that produced a military cadre from Haiti ealy leaders emerged. He was very proud to defend our country Haiti. I just wished to spend more time with him. My brother and I were very young when he died. It was a very sad day when we heard the news. The best part of growing up is seeing our dear beloved mother show resilience for everything she does with love. She also showed bravery and I learned a lot from her positive attitude. I honestly think that I'm a lot like her in many ways. Growing with two other siblings was so fun, one sister and one brother in Haiti. An older brother and a younger sister. I love them to the moon and back, they're an amazing part of my life. My younger self may have been fathered by someone else. It doesn't do anything at all to me, I love them both the same. In fact you could always find us together playing and having fun. I remembered how we bonded really well. When my mother travelled to the USA, our Aunt took the responsibility of raising us. My sister was her favourite, she was always showing favours to her, this didn't stop us from being connected. Connection is the key to our awesome family relationships. My mother's attitude reminds me of David's courage in the Bible when facing Goliath. 1 Samuel 17;50-53 David defeated Goliath with his Faith and courage in God, David also took smooth stones and slingshots. I believe the slingshot represents my mothers work, which means we all must work and have faith/courage in God to accomplish all our dreams and goals and aspirations. Faith without works is dead James 2;14-26
