Praise for this book

Loved this book. I have always wanted to do yoga but never found the time to sit down and learn it.

If you are like me and want to stay fit but feel self conscious doing exercises in front of others, then you need to get this book where you have the instructions in front of you and can work at your own pace in your house.

This is an excellent book ! Not only for seniors but for anyone that has any form of disability that enables one's physical agility to perform even the slightest motion in the daily usage of their muscles. One does not need to be a professional trainer or work out guru to do these basic chair exercises and the guidelines to follow are so easy and very detailed, with pictures to show, how to properly do the exercises and foods to eat and foods to omit. I highly recommend this book!

This book is very well written with clear instructions and diagrams for doing chair yoga. I enjoy chair yoga and was pleasantly surprised that I was able to do all the exercises. I recommend this book and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Technically I am "too young" for this book, but I found it very useful! I use a wheelchair due to Spina Bifida, and have been trying to get back to exercising on a regular basis. Chair yoga is kind of new to me, but I found I was able to do several of the poses even with different mobility. Many of the exercises remind me of some I used to do with a group where I live. The exercises felt good!

This book just isnt for those Seniors! If your overweight & have pain issues that stop you from exercising ask your doctor about these yoga poses. Im 41 personally, overweight & cant work out due to back & knee surgeries that have failed me. I find these easy to do so I am going to continue with these & try to find a few others to d. Highly Recommended for all ages!!!

I have always enjoyed the physical and emotional benefits of yoga. Unfortunately with health and body issues that come with age I haven't been able to do much practice. This book has taught me that yes, now I can. Written clearly and illustrated with simple poses using a chair, Fitzgerald teaches the poses and yoga philosophy. I highly recommend this book to anyone with any physical limitations. This book will help you add fun, exercise, and the peacefulness daily yoga practice brings.

I'm really happy to have discovered this book! Having tried yoga many times over the years, I had almost given up on finding poses I could do without strain, that were simple, easy and actually left me feeling better. I had no idea I was holding so much tension until I let it go during this sequence. I definitely recommend this book if you are a woman of a certain age.: )

This book is an incredible read, especially if you are afraid to try yoga. The author very thoroughly explains not only how to do these exercises and stretching, but how to breathe appropriately, your nutrition and diet, how your state of mind can affect your body. I highly recommend this, it's a lot of information that can help absolutely anyone, especially us over 60! Do yourself a favor and check it out!
