Lois Phillips Hudson (1927- 2010) was born in Jamestown, North Dakota on August 24, 1927 and migrated with her family to Washington State in 1935. She taught at the University of Washington from 1969 to 1992. A prolific writer, she is best remembered for her novel The Bones of Plenty, and the short story collection,
Reapers of the Dust: A Prairie Chronicle.
