Watson, Nell: - Nell Watson is a researcher, writer, speaker and applied tech ethicist. She advises leading organizations on their machine learning strategies, specializing in AI research and ethical advocacy. She is the President of the European Responsible AI Office and Chair of the IEEE Standards Association Agentic AI Expert Focus Group. She has worked on the IEEE 7001 AI Ethics Standards, the ECPAIS Transparency Certification, the Certified Ethical Emerging Technologist exam and completed a Talos Fellowship. She is the author of Taming the Machine published by Kogan Page and is based in Belfast, UK.
Hessami, Ali: - Ali Hessami is a systems engineer specializing in risk analysis, assessment and safety. He is a leading figure in AI ethics standardization efforts as Vice Chair of the IEEE AI Ethics Certification Programme, Chair of the IEEE 7000 AI Ethics Standard and Subgroup Chair at the IEC Cybersecurity Standard Committee. He is also Innovation Director at Vega Systems Ltd where he works on building advanced conformity assurance systems. He is a Chartered Engineer and Chair of the IEEE UK & Ireland Section. He lives in London, UK.
