Sassy Charlette Has Something To Say: My Take on Spirituality, Relationships, and Life

Charlette McCloud

This is a story of pain and praises through poetry. This woman was born into a state of pain and confusion at the time of her birth. The doctor who performed her mother's c-section did it neglectfully and covered up the malpractice that occurred. She was left with a permanent deep scar on her right cheek and right forearm. At 2.4 oz. she lived. Preemies died in the 60's without crucial medical care needed to survive. Satan tried to take her out of this world day one like he did JOB. She will tell anyone that God must have told satan "not this one". She triumphantly passed over death's door. She was injured and left with third degree burns and scars on her right forearm . As she waddled around the house in a walker she bumped the board and the iron fell on her. It sat for sometime before anyone noticed and the burn went down to the white meat. As a young girl she experienced molestation from a close family member living in the home. All these horrific things that happened to her before the age of 10 did not make her heart hardened. She still remains a praying soul, full of JOY, and as the peacemaker that God made her out to be. She had her first child young and was a single mother. Living arrangements were not proper. After moving around with family she eventually became homeless. For years there was no stability. She lived in a hotel, a women's shelter at the YWCA, with a friend of the family, and then in a crack house that belonged to her mother's family friend. Through all of that, she made the best of the situation and attended college to get her degree in business. This was the best thing that happened to her in awhile. She had resolve to better her circumstances and live a better life for her and her son. She ended up married young, had 3 more children, stayed together in a marriage for "family." She became tired of putting everyone else first. She knew she married for love but stayed in the facade for all the wrong reasons. Being separated, having relations with other men, then finally in a new commited relationship for 12 years didn't make her happy. Eventually divorced she asked God for a clean slate. Through all of what life has thrown at her, she overcame her low self-esteem, promiscuity, and taste of a bad marriage. She emerged today as a strong, assertive, successful entrepreneur. God is her main source for everything. Full of compassion, she never ever lost hope in Gods PROMISES. She discovered that her spirituality, innate gifts, and talents would catapult her into a whole new trajectory. Writing became her purpose to make sense of her sordid birth, upbringing, and life in general. Writing became a way to heal her emotional trauma and it can be for you too. She lives by her motto "It isn't over until I say it's over--better yet --until God says its over." She believes writing HEALS. So write! AMEN

She says never give up. "NO" is a delay for a reason. God has an appointed time for everything to happen according to his will. A "NO" simply lets you know that God is in control and he knows what is best for you. If you think back over all the times you have become impatient, was delayed, or cut out of something---it was most likely a protection from God that the timing was not right for what ever you anticipated. Then God did a thing. All you can say is -------------------------------But GOD!
This is her self discovery and love story. She encourages others to write out their pain in a journal. She encourages others to continue learning and growing while climbing out of their valleys. God isn't done with her yet! He isn't done with you ei
