Say Yes: How God-Sized Dreams Take Flight

Britt Mooney

What's Your Answer?

Sometimes we're struck with inspiring ideas but shy away from saying yes to God. What He is asking us to do looks dangerous. It looks difficult. People will think we're crazy. It will cost us. We could fail.

God often asks us to do the impossible because, for Him, all things are possible. God is calling us-calling you-into His story. He's asking you to trust that He is responsible for all the consequences of your obedience. Say Yes is the epic story of a broken man who, when rescued by God, dared to say yes. The story of how God led a group of pastors to do church, business, and missions together for the good of others. This is the story of Phoenix Roasters and what God did. Will you let their story of trust inspire you? Will you trust God with the consequences of your yes?

Praise for this book

"This is a powerful story of answering the call when Jesus says 'Come!' May this inspire you for the God-size dreams He has for you."--James H. Reese, president/CEO Atlanta Mission
"God has equipped Brian with an inspiring and energetic vision forcommunity and global ministry. He loves unconditionally with an unswerving faith and infectious personality. Under Brian's dedicated and passionate leadership, Phoenix exemplifies the New Testament model of church and evangelism forged by the Apostles of Jesus Christ."--Stewart and Lisa Cink, professional golfer, PGA Tour
"To me, excellence is a choice. It's choosing to create a better future by going the extra mile. My dear friend Brian Holland and the Phoenix Roasters team choose the extra mile in all that they do, and they're creating a better future for coffee farmers, their workers, and you and I--the coffee consumers. Every cup of Phoenix Roasters coffee represents hope!"--Stuart Hall, communicator, author, director of Student Leadership, Orange
"You too will be inspired to dream and love well, and to believe that 'God takes the responsibility for all the consequences of a heart that's devoted to Him.--Daniel Cline, serving as CEO, Catalyst Conferences
"Our relationship with Phoenix Roasters began almost a decade ago, and it has remained a constant for our ministry ever since. While they craft a great product, their relationships have a lasting impact! Our ministry was able to take a staff of over fifteen baristas to their location for a tour and team building. Wes, the real MVP, taught us all about that tasty little bean that we call coffee and why it can have such an influence on so many lives. Of how it can be used to love someone so well. Isn't that what Phoenix is all about? Loving someone well through a tasty little bean called coffee. We are grateful for them!"--TC Jones, assistant manager, Atrium Café,

"We first met Brian at age 14 when he came into our student ministry at First Baptist Church, Jonesboro, Georgia. His powerful personality made us realize that he would do amazing, adventurous things for God's kingdom--IF he would list and respond with a resounding "YES!"
Once Brian said yes to Jesus, he never looked back. Brian's obedience led him to finish his education and begin his work in student ministry. Several years later, God led him to church planting and Phoenix Community of Atlanta was born! From that point, God continues to lead Brian into exciting areas of ministry. We love being able to be on the sidelines, cheering Brian on as he continues the adventures that come from the incredible joy of obedience to God's direction. It inspires us to do the same...to say "YES" as God whispers His guidance and wisdom into our own hearts and minds.

Two verses come to mind as we pray for Brian:

- Ephesians 2:10: For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (NIV)

- Psalm 139:16: All the days ordained for me where written in your book before one of them came to be.(NIV)"--Larry and Anna Lawrence, Lawrence Ministries, Morristown, Tennessee
