Asraar-ay Kh'udee is the collection of Dr Muhammad Iqbal's first ever philosophical poetical works in Persian. This famous book contains poems about "kh'udee" - selfhood. As it deals directly with what it means to be a "true human being", it is a treasure trove of knowledge of timeless relevance. The book consists of many poems and interpretation of each could run into many volumes depending on how deeply one dwells into it. This book deals with one poem - EXPOSITION OF CULTIVATION OF SELFHOOD - from the collection. Though Asraar-ay Kh'udee is primarily written from the Islamic point of view, nevertheless, its general significance as a message to all humankind cannot be denied.
