Praise for this book

Perhaps no sermon is better known, more often read in American literature, and less understood for its depth and profound insight than 'Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God.' ....John Fanella's excellent edition may well help many to better understand the importance and value of this most excellent sermon. I recommend this work wholeheartedly!--John H. Armstrong, President, ACT3 Network
. . . a job well done. The impact and force of this sermon comes across with clarity and without losing its original strength and intensity.--R.C. Sproul
. . . faithful in every regard to the original . . . Here the contemporary reader can easily see why people in Edwards's original audience were fainting and crying out for mercy. I know of no more powerful exposition of God's anger against sin than this landmark sermon by the most profound Christian mind America has ever seen.--John MacArthur, President, The Master's University and Seminary
Fanella's update brings out the full force of Edwards's awesome reasoning.--J. I. Packer, Professor of Theology, Regent College.
If awakening comes as people recognize their helpless condition before a holy God and turn to Christ alone, they will find nothing more convicting and humbling than this masterpiece from the last Puritan." Thanks to John Fannella for making this available to a wider audience.--Michael Scott Horton
