" I wrote So That Happened: Surviving Sundei because growing up I was told to handle everything quietly, and in secret. Do not let your scars show, do not ask those questions, that is inappropriate. If God say do not do it, then don't do it and do not question it. Which we know even Jacob, Abraham, Noah questioned God at times, just wanted clarification. But as a young lady being told all this and then being sent out in the world without all the equipment, some of us get ate up. I was one of the lucky ones that got pulled back. I just want the ones who read my book to know that their cracks and flaws do not stop them from reaching their goals and having that seat at the table. Maybe if some of those people that told me not to question things had told me their story earlier, I would not have made some choices. I would have gotten this epiphany sooner. I just want the reader to Know that your scars are just as beautiful, you are worth it."
