Kalamka, Juba: - Juba Kalamka is most recognized for his work as co founder and producer of homohop group, Deep Dickollective (D/DC), and for his development of the micro label sugartruck recordings. His cultural work and writing centers on intersectional dialogues on race, identity, gender, disability, sexuality, and class in popular media. He served six years as a music columnist, book reviewer and feature writer for Colorlines Magazine. Kalamka lives in Oakland with his partner of 20 years, their daughter, a neurotic standard poodle, and an enthusiastically territorial rescue dog. SON OF BYFORD is his first book.
