Species 2.: Evil comes in many forms.
The West is running out of Oil and time. A way of life known by millions is at stake. Riots have erupted all across Europe as the energy many have taken for granted is scaled back by ever desperate Governments. The West begs Russia, which is Oil rich, to open its wells and feed those Countries that are desperate. Russia refuses. In desperation the Western Allies attack Russia and a bloody war ensues. Millions die. The Worlds press calls it ' The Oil Wars'. The men fighting it call it 'Hell'. The Socialist Government in the United Kingdom begins to empty its prisons and form new Penal Regiments to fight in Russia in an effort to replace the thousands of Troops killed in the fighting.The 1st Penal Assault Regiment has been now been fighting in Russia for several years.Eventually it is tasked by a mysterious American Colonel, to escort two of his men who have orders to survey a village where an American Ranger Patrol has recently vanished . Once in the Village the men of the Penal Regiment become locked into a vicious battle with some form of unknown species. On their return to base they are eventually recruited into the American Special Forces. The men of the Penal Regiment are once again tasked, this time with locating a mysterious mountain top base some miles behind the Russian lines. The base now incorporates experimental laboratories responsible for the creation of the Creatures. Eventually the men of the Penal Regiment reach the Mountain top Base only to discover that the ' Experiment ' has escaped and has caused carnage among those who lived in the radius of the Base. A lone Russian Officer has survived the slaughter that ensued when the Creatures escaped from the old Prison. Each night he struggles to keep the remainder of the Creatures that still dwell in the Prison at bay by keeping the adjoining swing bridge clear and away from the Prison entrance.He joins forces with the men from the Penal Regiment and together they hatch a plan to destroy the entire complex and the murderous Creatures once and for all. Species 2 is a story that transports the reader back to a devastated Berlin in 1945, where the initial experiments took place in an underground SS complex, discovered by the Russian Army. The story takes you to Prague where an American search team is tasked with searching for evidence of the experiments only to find deadly traps. Finally it takes you to the killing grounds of Russia where a private battle is being waged amidst the War itself. What starts as a simple mission turns into a fight for life against the worst of Mankind's view of Science.
