About the Author

Elliot S! Maggin grew up in New York and has been writing about dreams and heroes all his life. He started publishing what he wrote when he was 17. He has written several hundred comic book stories, including a 15-year run as principal writer of Superman for DC Comics. He has written journalism, novels, television and film for a profusion of publishers and producers. His novels, Superman: Last Son of Krypton and Superman: Miracle Monday, both bestsellers, were first published as marketing tie-ins with the Superman feature films of 1978 and 1981. He wrote Not My Closet in 2016, a novel about people who don't fly under their own power or generally wear Spandex. He is 2016 recipient of the Bill Finger Award for Excellence in Comic Book Writing. He was educated at Brandeis and Columbia Universities and he is the father of two spectacularly capable adult children. He lives in Los Angeles.
