George Lakoff, Ph.D., 1966 (Indiana University), George Lakoff has retired as Distinguished Professor of Cognitive Science and Linguistics at the University of California at Berkeley. He is now Director of the Center for the Neural Mind & Society. His more than 50 years of research has contributed greatly to the establishment of Cognitive Linguistics as a new paradigm.
