The birth was a medical miracle with their daughter's new life being both a joy and a tragedy. While she is his greatest love, Hardin mourns the pain his daughter will inevitably face in this world.

About the Author
Aaron Hardin is a photographer who received his MFA from the Hartford Art School International Limited Residency Program in 2016 and is now the Assistant Professor of Visual Communication at Union University. His recent accomplishments include the Photolucida Critical Mass Award (2017), the Magnum Photography Fine Art Award (2016) and a Magenta Foundation Flash Forward Emerging Artist Award (2016).
