Set in the early Dark Ages, "The Bear and The Dragon: Rise of a Legend" follows Decurion Ambrosius, known as Artos for his bear-like strength, on a mission to rescue a lost patrol. His fort in Wales, abandoned by the Empire, is led by a weary Prefect. When a patrol is seized by a ruthless warlord in the West, Ambrosius insists on a rescue mission.
On his journey, Ambrosius meets the mystic Emrys, who reveals that Artos is the future King of Cambria and gifts him the legendary sword Caliburn. Gaining the loyalty of hill tribes, Artos confronts the warlord Uther PenDragon at Camelot.
Meanwhile, a Hibernian invasion led by the brutal clan chief Feargal threatens the land. Uther seeks an alliance through marriage, but his niece escapes, only to be rescued by Arthur's men. Arthur, falling for her, faces treachery and conflict as Uther and the Hibernians clash.
Arthur's captured patrol is crucified, leading to a revolt where Arthur and his allies overthrow Uther. As battles rage, Arthur's forces, aided by his new allies, defeat the invaders. Arthur accepts the kingship of Cambria, while the sorceress Morgana and her son Mordred loom as future threats.
"The Bear and The Dragon: Rise of a Legend" is a gripping tale of loyalty, betrayal, and destiny, blending historical intrigue with the timeless legend of King Arthur.
