About the Author

Zettler, Francis William: - Pennsylvania native Francis "Bill" Zettler received his doctorate from Cornell University. A resident of Alachua County for 45 years, he retired as professor emeritus from the University of Florida's College of Agriculture in 2003. He is the recipient of several teaching awards, including UF's Teacher of the Year Award. His training in biology and interest in local history were the impetus for The Biohistory of Alachua County, Florida.
