Dan Riker is a progressive writer, novelist and political activist who now lives in Oregon, but lived in Maryland from his college years until 2012. He is a graduate of The Johns Hopkins University and the University of Baltimore School of Law. He has been a journalist with United Press International in Baltimore and Washington, DC, an executive with MCI Communications, Inc., the CEO of Pocket Communications, Inc. and co-owner of Basset Books LLC, a dealer in used and collectible books. He previously published two novels, A LIGHT NOT OF THIS WORLD, and SENECA POINT, A BRANDON WEBSTER MYSTERY, and has written a book on progressivism, DO WHAT WORKS AND CALL IT CAPITALISM, which has not yet been published.
