About the Author

Cotten, Jonathan: - After more than 25 years in corporate sales, in 2014, Jonathan became a business owner when he purchased The Good Feet Store in Richmond, Virginia. Two years earlier he had been introduced to the Good Feet system as a customer and became a believer in the system when it relieved his pain from plantar fasciitis. The Good Feet arch supports helped him so much that he ran his first marathon that year. The following year, he returned to the store raving to the owner about how much he loved the product. The owner looked at him and asked, "You wanna buy the place?" He did, and he has since added stores from Cleveland, Ohio, to Destin, Florida, and from Nashville, Tennessee, to Baltimore, Maryland. This journey has inspired many by demonstrating a business's power in its relationships with employees, customers, and the broader community when it is a "business of character."

Praise for this book

Character is free and costs the business absolutely nothing, but if you don't have character, it will cost the business everything. Compassion for others and wanting to see them succeed will flourish the entire company. Leaders with character understand that you sometimes lead from the front, and sometimes you must lead from the rear. The sense of humanity must be shared with all who are involved.

Many years ago, Jonathan adopted TAPS as a cause he was passionate about. He understood service and sacrifice and knew how precious and precarious our freedoms are. Jonathan has become part of our extended TAPS family, and we know he stands with us because he has had personal pain and grief in his own life and has now turned that compassion into action for others.
