Virginia Elizabeth Rose is an author, storyteller, and gardener. Virginia Elizabeth lives in a 200-year-old home on thirty-acres of country outside a small town in Upstate New York with her husband James. They are the second generation to live in the home, where they raised their two children and welcomed their now six-year-old granddaughter. They currently share their home with Bailey, a nine-year-old Cocker Spaniel with an attitude. Bailey will be familiar to Virginia's readers as he graces some of the pages in her children's book, Welcome to Cobblestone Square. Bailey was rescued from a shelter at the age of five months when Welcome to Cobblestone Square was still in illustration. For her children's books and full-length fiction, she draws from the world around her to create characters that seem to step off a small town Main Street and into stories that everyone can relate to, celebrate and enjoy. Virginia Elizabeth has a Bachelor of Science in Communication/Journalism and a Master of Liberal Studies. Illustrator Eileen Whitt has enjoyed working side-by-side with Virginia Elizabeth, bringing to life the images of the characters in The Christmas Carousel, as well as their first children's book, Welcome to Cobblestone Square. She lives outside of Fort Myers, Florida with her husband Billy, is the mother of three children and grandmother to four cherished grandchildren. Virginia Elizabeth and Eileen are currently working on their third children's books-The Welcome to Cobblestone Square sequel, Bumble, Rumble, Tumble and Kate in Cobblestone Square, about four kittens who come to live with Miss Merriweather Periwinkle, based on a real-life litter of adorable kittens delivered on Virginia Elizabeth's doorstep by a neighbor's cat.
