Shawn Quinn's' sister Sharon has disappeared from a private hospital, but when Shawn tries to find out what happened to her, he runs into roadblock after roadblock. The hospital utterly denies that Sharon Quinn ever set foot inside their doors and the police are doubtful and dismissive, especially when there's no trace of the young woman on the hospital's meager video surveillance. Of course, the police officer gave Shawn tips about finding his sister himself and offered to initiate a missing persons report if Shawn doesn't find her. But Shawn Quinn is a private investigator who already knows how to begin the search for a missing person; but he also knows that his vision and ideas will be skewed because it's his little sister, his only living relative in the U.S. Besides, he's scared to death.
