It is 2011 and the fate of global warming has come to a head as a brutal drought strikes the world, especially the prairies that Megan and her brother, Ian, have grown up on. With their mother and father dead, the siblings set out on a dangerous journey that is their only chance of survival.

Traveling across a Canada that is ravaged by drought with all of civilization collapsed around them, Megan and Ian are determined to make it to their uncle, hoping he has the most precious commodity of all--water.
