About the Author

Jon Raymond is an independent filmmaker, writer, and photographer, and web developer.He has written and directed numerous short and feature narrative and documentary films through his independent company, Out in the Street Films. He recently produced and direct and feature documentary, got healthcare?, on health care reform. He has written, produced, directed, and edited numerous short documentary and narrative films. He is currently producing and directing a short film \version of this project, Credit Risk, currently in pre-production. The short and teaser will be used to find funding for the feature project. From 1970 to 1974 he studied photography and film at the Philadelphia College of Art (now known as the University of the Arts). Jon moved on to join the Air Force during "peacetime" in 1980 out of need for a job in what seemed like a 180-degree turn from his past convictions against the Vietnam War. This was an adventure for him and he enjoyed seeing the world as a flight engineer, until the Gulf War happened, after which he moved on to graduate school in Communication at the University of Delaware (1991 - 1994). He fell in love again with filmmaking, and took on studio extra work, student and short film roles as an actor. He started writing screenplays and then began producing and directing his own films.
