Ryka Aoki is a poet, composer, teacher, and novelist. Her latest novel, Light From Uncommon Stars is forthcoming from Tor/Macmillan in Fall 2021. Ryka's work has been recognized in publications including Vogue, Elle, Bustle, Autostraddle, PopSugar, and Buzzfeed. Her latest poetry appeared at the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center, and she was honored by the California State Senate for "extraordinary commitment to the visibility and well-being of Transgender people." She lives in Los Angeles.

Cai Steele is a DeafBlind, queer and transgender artist and teacher who believes passionately in empowering each other by sharing our stories. The artist has been a contributor to several art exhibitions, one field guide to animals in Kenya and painted countless portraits of high-spirited children and sedentary furry companions. Cai lives in the woods of Massachusetts, USA with several pet rabbits, snakes, and stacks of canvases and drawings that threaten impending doom.
