@pati_gallardo I found Ted Gioia's essay "The Imperfect Art" very liberating - it describes how jazz came to celebrate improvisation, with its inherent "imperfect", as the pinnacle of musical achievement. (When I'm feeling less pretentious, I just describe myself as "agile" :-)
