The Lithuanian Connection

Alfred G. Davison

Set in the 1990's, this is a fictional account of a connection between the lithuanian mafia and western european neo-nazis. A small band of nazi sympethisers, mostly ex-soldiers, break into a bank in the north-east of England and arrange for a huge illegal money transfer to an eastern european bank. With this, they are buying weapons with the aim of starting an armed uprising. The seller of the weapons, the lithuanian mafia, asks them to escort a mafia mole who has escaped the clutches of Special Branch, back to Lithuania. In return the mafia promises them training at a garrison deserted by the Red Army when Lithuania became independant. The scene is set for thrilling account of how ordinary people can become embroiled in high adventure at a time when the wall between east and west is breaking down.
