The Rabbit

Rachael Smith

Eleanor and her younger sister Kathy have run away from school, from home and from all of their troubles.

When Kathy accidentally injures a rabbit, they bring it along with them. But this is no ordinary rabbit. And as they get farther and farther away from home, the rabbit gets bigger and more menacing -- until they have to make a choice about facing their past and their fears or giving in to them.

A graphic novel exploration of how running away from your problems doesn't leave them behind you.

Praise for this book

"A delightfully dark and surreal tale that reads like an indie comics version of Donnie Darko relocated to the English countryside." - Pipedream Comics
"The comedy that Smith does so well is still there, the dialogue as always just right, but there's a menace and a sense of simmering heartbreak here as well. Smith simply gets better and better and better. This is her finest yet." - Forbidden Planet International
"A deliciously dark, endearingly whimsical and tenderly observed tale of childhood rites of passage.' - Broken Frontier
