This is a one of a kind book of verse that will not only challenge children to think but will bring them together with their parents or other adults in that thinking process. The book is beautifully illustrated in a way that complements the verses very well. And the illustrations are fun!! The Tao and Uncle Lao makes ancient wisdom and philosophy, previously only accessible to adults, into the world of children when they are just learning about their world in ways that can be described in words. Not only is this book fabulous but it is the first in a series which many parents will want to collect for the children and grandchildren.

The Tao and Uncle Lao Book 1 by Ariadne Sharelle is a brilliant gem -filled with delightful rhyming verses and gorgeous illustrations. This is the kind of book that will become a golden classic for children to treasure all their lives. The love filled messages from kind Uncle Lao are full of fun, wisdom and joy. The beautiful illustrations evoke awe and wonder and spark a child's curiosity. I am impatient for a hard copy to be printed and the rest of the series to be published. I bought this book for my children and their children's children. I taught children of all ages and am a retired teacher who is a lover of great children's books. I love this book and recommend it highly to all parents and children.

I read this book at least 4 or 5 times and was tickled to discover that each time was more valuable and engaging than the last. The Timeless Teachings and Joyful Illustrations make this book a must for Mindful Parents who appreciate the Creative Way this book introduces the Wisdom of the Tao!

This is a wonderful way to introduce your child to basic morality that everyone could use a gentle reminder of. Like being kind, grateful and self aware, etc. The illustrations are bright and beautiful! Well worth the great price! And makes a great gift!
