Praise for this book

The writing instruction provided in Dr. Horan's book is rooted in clarity and simplicity, and teenagers will find it informative and entertaining. It will prepare them admirably for writing in high school and college. A pleasure to read, and extremely effective.

--Dr. Roberta Levitt, professor of education, Long Island University

Written with simplicity, humor, and a good dose of storytelling, this book will make teens smile as they learn how to write for school and for their own creative expression. Highly recommended.

--Maria Radman-Favre, Tony-nominated Broadway actress, and teacher of high school drama and English

Through reading this book, teens will learn how to write academic projects as well as creative ones. This is a highly unusual combination, and I'm thrilled that this book is available to adolescent learners. It is an effective and friendly writer's guide, and one that every teenager should be reading.

--Jeremy Oatis, MFA, Harvard Club of Long Island Distinguished Teacher, 2012
