"This is the stuff of Kafka, of Kazuo Ishiguro’s The Unconsoled, or of those recurring dreams you have where you simply can’t get to the corner shop." Not seen this one yet, but @GuyLodge has me hyped for Beau Is Afraid, reviewed here for @filmoftheweek_ https://t.co/idVx9L2wjl
author of yadda yadda yadda etc
@asdkfjasdlfjd @Teaweave an opposite case of this: kazuo ishiguro’s 600-page novel the unconsoled has a very specific atmosphere / tone—five years later he published the short story “a village after dark,” which is written in nearly an identical style, & it does the same thing the novel does. why?
