About the Author

Growing up in Singapore, Tan Yi Lin spent her weekends trawling the neighbourhood library and second-hand bookstores for tales of talking animals, globetrotting adventures, and travels to whimsical lands. She still does the same with her three daughters. Outside of her work in the public service, Yi Lin writes stories inspired by childhood and dabbles in ever-changing hobbies to feed her curiosity about what makes people happy. She recently learned that " multi-potentialite" is a term for people who don't yet know what they want to be when they grow up. is a Singaporean comic book artist and illustrator. Her work focuses on fantasy, fairytale adaptations, and social commentary. Her art and comics have been published in print and online, including the 2019 Moonlight Anthology by Bones & McKay, and the 2020 SOUND Anthology by Difference Engine. Nicolette graduated from the Law University of Bristol in 2016 - her mind and characters are prone to wander back there. She can be found on Tumblr, Twitter and Instagram by her handle, @Wanlingnic.
