This book is a collection of travel narratives by two Chinese Buddhist monks, Fah-Hian and Sung-Yun, who made separate pilgrimages to India in the 4th and 5th centuries A.D. They describe their encounters with various cultures and religions along the way, as well as their visits to sacred sites and encounters with prominent Buddhist figures.
