Trench Angels
In this novel, all-star running back Keefer Khrist has to decide on which full ride scholarship he wants to accept for college. When he chooses to go to the Army instead of college against his family's wishes they let it be known how disappointed in him they are, no one accepts his decision except his high school sweetheart Tanner and his childhood friends.
Keefer goes through basic training and scores high on weapons qualifications so he's fast tracked to go overseas where he gets into a special unit that's running an illegal operation that he finds out that was started by his own grandfather. He excels so well within the unit that he's asked to take over but the catch is that things will be brought back stateside and ran with his childhood friends. Keefer takes us through the journey from rags to riches as he navigates the mean St. Louis streets while facing challenges from the law to the rival gangs. When one of his day one friends gets killed out of town he comes up with an idea to change the neighborhood that he grew up in for better, with the help of his wife he persuades the mayor to allow him to redevelop the land.
Everything that's sweet has to come to an end even with being protected from the outside world, Keefer is faced with losing someone close to him that forces him to turn into a monster that he never knew he had inside of him, can he make it out of the game before the game chews him and those that he love before it's too late?
