Davis, Beth: - "I believe every child should see themselves in a book, so I created a children's book series called 'Super Youneek Beast' for that exact reason. Growing up in a tiny southern town, I was considered to be the "different" kid. With characteristics like being plus-sized, covered in freckles, bright red hair, expressive, and artistic - it was easy to stand out in a crowd. Sometimes that idea is not always embraced in our society and it can be hard to be different. It took me a while to figure out that my uniqueness is wonderful and I only wish to help children discover that magical truth far sooner than I did. My goal with these books is to encourage children to celebrate what makes us ALL unique."
