About the Author

Garry Ledbetter began his working career at age 12 for Skiles Test (The House of Blue Lights). His duties included feeding the cats and dogs, helping milk the cows, baling hay, working in the garden, and cleaning the pool and house areas. Garry lived with his parents and siblings in one of Mr. Test's tenant houses. Garry graduated from Lawrence Central High School in 1965. Soon after graduation he joined the U.S. Army. There he served 2 years stateside and 1 year in Vietnam as a Flight Engineer on a Chinook helicopter. After his military career he continued his education at IUPUI in Indianapolis. His career spans 45 years of employment as a mechanic, management supervisor and an IT manager. He is retired and living in Indianapolis.
