Victory Over Mountains Part three

Harriette Bained

Too often, the tragedies in our lives cause us to make a detour from our dreams. Clarence is a good guy, but when he found out who had hurt his Aunt Jessie, he goes looking for revenge. Desperately in need of money after receiving an eviction notice, Jessie travels to Richmond Virginia to borrow money from her parents. She was devastated when she found out that one of them has died. Roe goes to New York to find his mother, only to lose her again. Clarisa was attending Columbia University in New York when she meets up with a young man that she used to be madly in love with. Clarence is investigated by the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation). He is threatened and then critically wounded. Our dreams give us something to look forward to. I have talked to a lot of young black men who do not seem to have a direction for their lives. If they cannot find a job, they often wind up taking the path to selling drugs and often find themselves in prison. Everyone, regardless of their age, should have some dreams or some goals that they want to achieve in life. I live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where I have raised two children.
