@ChrisLangEnergy Chris, these books look like great complements to Stanley Karnow’s “Vietnam, a history.” Loved the book and the at TV series.

Adam Ellsworth on Bob Stanley's "Let’s Do It: The Birth of #popmusic: A History" (@PegasusBooks). A lot of history is jammed into this book, but the author manages to ruminate in an informative and engrossing way on 50-plus years of pop music.https://t.co/XEX7XBM2Xq https://t.co/pkunFTSns7
Author & journalist. Past: New York Times, LEGACY OF ASHES: The History of the CIA. Future: Another damned thick book.
@tomricks1 Got a book in the works on the 21st-century CIA. I don't know how anyone could top A BRIGHT AND SHINING LIE or Stanley Karnow's VIETNAM. I despair at the fact that DOD, CIA, and FRUS declassifications essentially ceased five years ago.
