Voy a Portarme Muy Bien

Chris Haughton

Simón is a dog with all the best intentions. And his owner, Alfonso, has all the best hopes that Simón will be a well-behaved dog when he leaves him alone for the day. But when Simón spies a delicious cake sitting on the kitchen table, his resolve starts to waver. It's so hard to be a good dog when there are cakes to eat, cats to chase, and flowers to dig up! What ever will Alfonso say when he gets back?

Praise for this book

If you have a child that is always saying: "I'm trying, I'll do better," this is a great companion book. In the end does Simón behave? Let's just say that like with a child, the subject is open to discussion. Literally. - Mr. Alex's Bookshelf
I love the fuzzy art style of the illustrations and the bright colors. It's really attractive and captures your attention. The illustrations add so much humor to the story! The story is funny and silly. Poor Simon is trying to be good, but he just can't help himself. He is led astray by his desires, and gets into trouble. I love the positive messages that we should practice self control and not do everything we want to do. - Books for MKs
31 Days 31 Lists. Bilingual Children's Books. Awww! Does it get any cuter than a book translated to "I'm Going to Behave Very Well"? If Haughton isn't already a hit in other nations, he's bound to be now. - A Fuse #8 Production (An SLJ Blog)
