Walking in Dominion: "Be Fruitful and Multiply; Fill the Earth and Subdue it" (Gen.1:28)
According to Mariam Webster dictionary; Dominion means supreme authority over a thing. It is a vested authority granted by God over the earth and things therein.
.God created man in His own image.Gen.1:26: Then God said, "Let Us make man in our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth," verses 28-30: Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth". And God said, "See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food." "Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every herb for food"; it was so. But when man disobeyed God's instruction; man fell following scheming of the Devil.Gen.3:6: So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.Gen.3:11: And He said, "Who told you that were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not ear?". Gen.3:12: Then the man said, "The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate."
Following man's fall in the Garden of Eden; there was need for restoration to the household of faith. Rom.5:10: For if, while we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life. 2Cor.5:18-21: All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting people's sins against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God (Col.1:20-22; Eph.2:15-16; Eph.15:3-10)
God sent Jesus Christ to the world to restore man to Himself.John.10:10-11; "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep."
This book, WALKING IN DOMINION, explains how a believer can access covenant rights in Christ Jesus as contained in the Scripture and operate in the realm of dominion in all aspects of life. It is not a good thing for a believer to be recognized with a reproach as was the case of Naaman. He was also a mighty man of valor, but a leper(2Kgs.5:1). It is one thing to know that one's father has bequeathed one with a legacy of stupendous wealth; it is another thing to know how to access it!
