Salazar, Larry Running Turtle: - Larry Running Turtle Salazar is an American Indian of Tsalagi and Apache descent, and recognized as a Wisdom Keeper by his people. Larry's support of Native American issues includes documentaries, lectures, television appearances, radio host, and many other public arenas. Because of Larry's efforts, he has helped change laws in Texas pertaining to American Indian burial grounds. One of Larry's major quests is the pending construction of a monument on public lands of Corpus Christi to commemorate the location of the second largest Native American burial ground in the state of Texas. He is a member and advisor for South Texas Alliance of Indigenous People (STAIP).Larry Running Turtle has performed countless ceremonies and continues to bring forth many lessons he has learned from life and from following the Good Red Road. Larry was trained in Japanese and Korean martial arts for over 48 years with 4 black belts from 4 different styles and also studied with Steven Seagal. This led him to a 10 year commitment to study and practice Buddhist teachings and eventually he met His Holiness The Dalai Lama and Thick Nhat Hanh. Larry is versed in the discipline of the Bushido, which embraces Eastern philosophy of peace, harmony, and respect for self and others. He believes in the correlation between Eastern, Native American, and other philosophies that embrace the respect of all life and existing in balance and harmony with Mother Earth. Larry is an Ambassador for the Goodwill Treaty for World Peace for the Indigenous Peoples's Grand Council of Peace. As is the obligation and commitment of a Wisdom Keeper to pass on his knowledge and wisdom, so Larry Running Turtle has dedicated his life to the inexhaustible teachings and guidance of all his apprentices and to all who choose to follow and practice the path of beauty, peace, and love.
Reader, Pamela Two Spirits: - Dr. Pamela Two Spirits Reader is a registered nurse with a master's degree in family sociology and a doctorate in transpersonal psychology. She has many years of nursing and counseling experience, mostly with hospice, working with patients and their families to help loved ones cross over. She was also an Air Force Nurse, an adjunct Sociology Professor, a Health Education Manager, and a Director of Nursing. Pamela has explored many spiritual concepts, including studying meditation with Buddhist monks which led her to become a hypnotherapist and Reiki practitioner. During her lifetime, she has had many dreams with a Native American spirit guide named Clap Dance that has helped her to connect with the concept of interconnectedness. She produced a hypnotherapy program called "Loving Energy," based on a dream where she experienced being a molecule in a drop of water with her spirit guide.The program helps people heal on a physical, emotional, and spiritual level and can be found on YouTube. Her belief is that everything has spirit, and her hope is that the simple teachings of this book will awaken people to their divinity. Pam and her husband, David, live in North East Florida. They own a house on the St Johns river where they spend their days fishing, boating, and gardening. Pam is happiest living a quiet life surrounded by trees, water, and nature.
