Carol Higgins-Lawrence wrote her first story at the age of five and her dad paid her a quarter for it! She's been writing ever since. Carol was inspired to write this story while playing with her children in the park and appreciating the cultural differences and similarities among everyone. She has worked as a Literacy Educator and English Teacher for speakers of other languages. Carol lives in Brooklyn, NY with her husband and two children.Araina has been drawing since she was a young girl. She has always loved writing and creating stories as well. Araina graduated from Lasell College with a degree in Fashion Design but soon realized her calling was children's illustrations. Araina has illustrated several books and continues to draw and create every day. She currently resides in Upstate, NY, with her three kids and their teeny tiny puppy.
