Widow to Bachelorette: An Over 60 Spiritual Gal's Guide To Dating
It feels like there is an invisible magnet, or energy spark that draws me to widows, before I know that they are a widow. Perhaps the purpose is so that we can be an infusion of light and healing by sharing our stories and encouraging one another to keep hopeful for better days.
We long for some better days when our souls will no longer be so very tender and the ambush of emotions no longer surprise us, often at the most inopportune times.
I found myself telling my encouraging stories multiple times about dating when you are over 60. I thought, maybe I should create a Word doc that I share, then I thought, maybe I should just write a short book.
So, here we are. My year as the over 60 bachelorette (my friends suggested that term to describe me) was a year of learning many things, lots of laughs and most importantly, I experienced God's protection and providence as I set out to find my last great love.
My prayer is that these words will make you laugh, provide helpful information, and encourage you to go deeper with our Lord and your close friends.
