Joseph Pollock holds the Iraqi nationality, born in Basra city the only port of Iraq and has a B.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering. His first attempt to write poetry rather came when he was a university student. As being talented, inspired and so fond of writing poetry as well as essays in his spare time he continued, despite the many challenges, expanding and developing such talent since then till the moment when he has been able to publish this book. Since early 2004 until early 2010 Joseph served, as a consultant engineer/ certified translator, the people of his country at a very critical time and provided faithful & valuable service to Iraq, the US Government & US Army. As a result of his employment by the American forces in Iraq Mr. Pollock received a handwritten threat left at his home. Fearing for the safety of himself and his family he was forced to resign his position. However, his dedication to assisting with the reconstruction effort of his country for his family and future generation outweighed the threats and he returned to his work several months later. In his career like in his world of writing these threats/challenges came to him in a flash of inspiration. It only encouraged him to go even further, moving on top gear guided by his solid faith as a down-to-earth man of many talents. You can contact author at: Josephpollock75@aol.com
