The "Ten Crucial Days" winter campaign of 1776-77 is one of the most storied in the annals of military history. David Price examines this pivotal moment in the American War of Independence through an interpretive framework that focuses on five key factors: leadership, geography, weather, artillery, and contingency. His narrative differs from earlier works on the subject that are largely a chronological account of this period.
The "Ten Crucial Days" were the canvas on which a masterpiece of bold and enterprising leadership was painted. About the Author
Price, David: - This is David Price's third book about the "Ten Crucial Days" of the American Revolution, following The Road to Assunpink Creek and Rescuing the Revolution. In addition, he has authored John Haslet's World and The Battle of Harlem Heights, 1776. The latter is part of the Westholme Small Battle series and was accepted into the permanent collection of the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History. David is a recipient of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution Bronze Good Citizenship Medal in recognition of his work as an author, speaker, and historical interpreter at Washington Crossing Historic Park in Pennsylvania and Princeton Battlefield State Park in New Jersey.
