About the Author

The Author: Janet A. Thompson received her Ph.D. in History from the University of Cincinnati. She has taught British and European History at the University of Cincinnati, Southwest Texas State University, and Tallahassee Community College. Dr. Thompson is also an archivist and has served as Curator of Manuscripts at the University of New Mexico.
