About the Author

Pastor Smith graduated from Grand Rapids Baptist College in 1977. He worked at Steelcase in Grand Rapids for 10 years while attending Alpine Immanuel Baptist Church in Comstock Park. While there he was church clerk, trustee, teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, choir member, songleader, children's church leader, and leader of the young adults group. He and his wife Sharon joined Continental Baptist Missions and took a small church in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. In the 30 years following Pastor Smith has helped three small churches find health. All of his churches have doubled in size. His focus has been on health through teaching, counseling, activities, and relationships.
